AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) baseball team platted an unearned run in the bottom of the 10th inning to hand Rensselaer its first loss of the season, 7-6, in 10 innings. With the win the WPI Engineers improve to 6-0 on the season, while RPI is now 5-1.

Senior righthander John Dreimiller (Ticonderoga, NY/Ticonderoga) got the start, and allowed five runs (3 earned), while striking out seven over 4.0 innings of work. Junior Mike Cieszko (Stevenson Ranch, CA/William S. Hart) to the loss, pitching an inning and 2/3, while giving up just one hit and striking out three.

At the plate, senior Camden Mamigonian (Dover, NH/Dover) and junior Billy Nikolski (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) each went 3 for 5, with Mamigonian coming up a home run shy of the cycle. Nikolski picked up a run batted in. Sophomore Markus Delello (Sidney, NY/Sidney) went 2 for 4 with a triple, a runs scored and two RBIs, while freshman Jonny Rio (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) was 1 for 4 with a two-run home run.
