Was at RPI for 38 years … Came to RPI in 1919-20 season as head swimming coach ... Started the sport intercollegiately at RPI … Had 132-119-1 record as swim coach over 34 years ... Coached football from 1920-26 to 1942-45 ... Posted a 37-34-9 record for a .519 percentage ... Winningest football coach in RPI history … Coached varsity baseball, posting a 46-73 record in 17 years … Assisted Rollie Brown during Brown’s tenure as athletic director as Brown had cancer department ... Department head from 1953 to 1958 … When started at RPI, there were only three full-time members in the athletic department ... When left in 1958, there were 10 full-time members … Says Hall of Famer George Shako of Graham: “He was a quiet coach, never losing his temper. He was a firm believer of fundamentals.”
