TROY, N.Y. – Kerry Reilly (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) scored the lone goal as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) defeated St. Lawrence 1-0 in the final Liberty League contest for both teams.  With the victory the Red Hawks improve to 4-10-1 overall and 3-4-0 in the league.  St. Lawrence is now 5-8-2 overall and 1-6-0.

Off an indirect kick from senior Rebecca Primm (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip), Reilly put a perfectly timed header into the net at 9:03 of the first half for her second goal of the season.  The teams battled through a scoreless second half in which Rensselaer outshot the Saints, 5-1.

For the game, RPI finished with 10 shots, including six on goal, compared to four for the Saints, including two on net.

Senior Tara Marandino (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) made two saves in Rensselaer’s net for the win.  Junior Carly Draper (Ottawa, ON/Colonel By Secondary School) finished with five saves.
