Geneseo, N.Y.- Most Outstanding Player Gary Sroka (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) snapped a 1-1 tie with a pair of goals just 1:02 apart in the second half to lead fifth-seeded Rensselaer to a 3-1 victory over third-seeded St. John Fisher Cardinals in the title game of the 2005 ECAC Division III
Upstate Men's Soccer championship.

Freshman Mike Henzel (Niwot, CO/Niwot) collected a rebound at 16:09 of the first half to give Rensselaer a 1-0 intermission lead, but St. John Fisher's Adam Blanchard (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) fed a through ball to junior Sal Valle (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) for the equalizer at 83:21.

Sroka struck less than two minutes later with the game winner at 85:16 as junior Scott Owens (Reading, PA/Wilson) sent a crossing pass from the right flank that Sroka one-timed just inside the left post.  The insurance goal came at 86:18 when senior Craig DiDomenico (Commack, NY/Commack) fed Sroka, who was camped inside the six-yard box, from the left side for another
one-timer.

Junior Nick Bochette (Schaghticoke, NY/Hoosick Valley) made two saves to post the win for the Red Hawks, while senior Paul Ilukor (Kampala, Uganda/Bishop Kearney) made six saves for the Cardinals.

Rensselaer, which finishes the season with an 11-7-2 record, held a 29-7 shot advantage and each team had two corner kick opportunities.  Fisher finishes 10-9-1.
