NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary got double digit points from four players and the Blue Knights shot 48.5% from the floor in posting an 83-69 win over Rensselaer's men's basketball team.  With the win, Mount Saint Mary improves to 5-1.  RPI falls to 1-4.

Mike Hoyt led the homestanding Knights with 26 points, seven assists, four steals and six rebounds (3 offensive) while Julio Ramirez had 24 points, four rebounds (0 off.), two assists and two steals.  Brandon Weldon (12 points) and Chris Harrison (10 points) also reached double figures.

For Rensselaer, senior Tom Schneider had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, including 11 offensive.  The team's leading scorer and rebounder, he also had two assists and three steals.  Sophomore Graham Gordon led all Red Hawks with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting.  Senior Russell Herman added 11 points and seven rebounds (2 off.).
