STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Rensselaer fought back from an early deficit but allowed a goal 11 minutes after scoring and lost at New York University, 2-1, in a non-league game.  Jennifer Tavares scored on a shot under the crossbar at 3:53 to give NYU a 1-0 lead.  RPI freshman Kerry Reilly knotted the score on a shot from ten yards out into the far corner at 61:23.  Classmate Ashley Aust earned an assist on the goal.  The homestanding Violets got the game-winner from Erin Brickman off a direct kick and NYU improved to 4-2-1.  Rensselaer, which is now 1-3-1, got seven saves from Tara Marandino while New York University got six saves from Kaitlin Barnes.
