Hoboken, N.J. - Sophomore Sam Simmons scored a career-high 18 points and senior Neal Wesson recorded a double-double of 14 points and ten rebounds (4 offensive) to lead Rensselaer to a 71-61 win at Stevens Tech.  Simmons made 8-of-11 shots and grabbed six rebounds (3 offensive) with three steals and Wesson added four assists to help the Red Hawks improve to 2-6.  The Ducks fall to 5-4 with the loss.

Two other players reached double digits for Rensselaer, which was coming off a long break due to exams and the holidays.  Senior Tom Schneider scored 13 points while Paul Halas chipped in with ten.

Stevens was led by Damien Palantino, who had 19 points, and Tim Williams, who scored 12.
