Saratoga Springs, N.Y.--The Skidmore College men’s soccer team tied a program win record with a 1-0 Liberty League win over RPI, Saturday at Wachenheim Field. The Thoroughbreds are now 12-2 overall and 3-1 in Liberty League play, tying the program win record set in 2001.

The Red Hawks fall to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the Liberty League.

After a scoreless first half, Skidmore’s Pat Phelan (Wallingford, Conn.) converted a pass from Ben Shriner (Carmel, Ind.) at 45:59 for the game’s lone goal.

Jake Densen (Summit, N.J.) had two saves in goal for the Thoroughbreds. John Thibdeau (Altamont, N.Y./Bethlehem) kept the Red Hawks in the game with eight saves, including several key stops in the second half.
