ITHACA, N.Y. - Sophomore Seth Klerer (Thornhill, ON/North York Rangers) had two goals and an assist while junior Jordan Alford (Red Deer, AB/Canmore Eagles) made 30 saves as Rensselaer tied 13th-ranked Cornell, 3-3, in an ECAC Hockey League contest at Lynah Rink.  RPI is now 4-3-5 overall and 1-0-2 in the ECACHL while the Big Red is 7-3-1 and 4-2-1.

The Engineers jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead on a pair of power play goals - both by Klerer - and an even-strength marker by Kurt Colling (Ripley, ON/Vernon Vipers).  Seniors Oren Eizenman (Toronto, ON/Wexford Raiders) and Jake Luthi (Palmer, AK/Sioux Falls Stampede) both had two assists in the stanza.

Cornell came back with a goal in the second and two in the third, including the game-tying goal at 18:16 with an extra attacker, to earn the draw.

Alford finished with six saves in the first period, 14 in the second, eight in the third, and two in overtime, including a game-saver on Bryon Bitz at 2:4, in goal for Rensselaer.  Troy Davenport stopped 12 shots in 32:35 before being replaced due to an injury.  Ben Scrivens made four saves the rest of the way for the Big Red.
