CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Freshman Danielle Kielty (Menlo Park, CA/Atherton) posted two runs batted in to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team to 9-2 victory over Westfield State. With the win, the Red Hawks improve to 6-1 on the season.

Kielty paced Rensselaer, going 2 for 3 with a double, two runs and two runs batted in, while sophomore Courtney Sweeney (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) added a run and two RBI. Senior Stephanie Vanek (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown) pitched five solid innings to improve to 2-0 on the season. She allowed one earned run and struck out eight in the victory.
