CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Freshman Julianne Bass (Costa Mesa, CA/Newport Harbor) went 4 for 6 with three runs and four runs batted in to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team to wins over Medaille, 10-3 and Dickinson, 7-0.

Bass went 2 for 3 with two runs and two runs batted in the win over Medaille. Sophomore Logan Russell (Cranbury, NJ/Princeton) added two RBI and senior pitcher Amy Huling (Vienna, VA/Holton-Arms School) added two hits and two runs at the plate while striking out four batters through four innings to pick up the win, her third of the season, for the Red Hawks. Freshman Michelle Street (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) earned the save, allowing just one hit while striking out one in the final two innings.

In the second game, RPI got another solid effort from Bass, who collected two hits, including a double, two runs and two RBI. Classmate pitcher Michelle Street (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) was outstanding on the mound, compiling eight strikeouts and only four hits through seven innings pitched. The win improves her personal record to 4-0 overall.
