SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -­ Sophomore Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) scored four goals and junior Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) added three goals and four assists to lead Western New England College to a 13-9 victory over Rensselaer in non-conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon.  

The game was tied 5-5 at halftime and again at 7-7 when Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA) put the Golden Bears ahead for good with an assist from Kelton with 15:57 remaining in the game. WNEC’s defense then took over holding Rensselaer to only one goal in the final 14:53.

Sophomore Natalie White (Guilford, CT/Guilford) led the Red Hawks with four goals while freshman Carly Mahony (Topsfield, MA/Masconomet Regional) had two assists.

Western New England College evens its record at 2-2 while Rensselaer falls to 2-4.
