ITHACA, N.Y. - Rensselaer jumped out to a 6-3 second quarter lead but Ithaca scored eight of the next nine goals and the Bombers went on to an 11-8 victory in a non-league men's lacrosse game.  RPI, which got three goals apiece from seniors Adam LoGiudice (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) and Chris Sherman (Newark, DE/St. Mark's), fall to 3-5.  Ithaca is now 4-2 on the season.

Sherman, a midfielder, scored two of RPI's first three goals, including a man-down marker, and the Red Hawks held a 3-1 lead after the first period.  LoGiudice then scored two of the Red Hawks' three second period goals and Rensselaer led 6-4 at the half.

Ithaca took control after the break, however, outscoring RPI 3-1 in the third and 4-1 in the fourth for the final margin.  Mike Cintineo finished with four goals for the Bombers, who got nine saves from Dennis Butler.

In addition LoGiudice and Sherman, the Red Hawks got single goals from Briggs Thompson (South Lyme, CT/East Lyme), who also had an assist, and Alex MacDiarmid (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford).  Junior Ryan Michels (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) stopped seven shots in goal for Rensselaer.
