ELMIRA, N.Y. - Judy Kastner and Sarah Hinz scored 1:50 apart in the first half and Tara Marandino stopped the only shot she faced as the women's soccer team defeated Elmira, 2-0, in a non-league game.  Rensselaer improves to 3-4-1 overall, while Elmira is now 0-7-1.

Kastner, a sophomore, got the visitors on the board with an unassisted goal at 18:20.  Just 1:50 later, Hinz, the team's leading scorer, notched an unassisted marker of her own.

Meaghan Doherty stopped one shot in the loss for the Soaring Eagles.
