SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Union jumped out to an early 1-0 lead and added a pair of goals in the second half enroute to a 3-0 victory over Rensselaer in the Liberty League finale for both teams.  The Dutchwomen improve to 14-3-0 and 5-2-0 in conference play while the Red Hawks fall to 6-9-1 and 1-6-0 in the league.

Senior Caitlin Cuozzo (Norfolk, MA/King Philip Regional) gave Union a 1-0 lead at 38:45 of the first half.  Off a cross pass from younger sister, Allison, Cuozzo found an open spot on the left side past Red Hawks keeper Meghan White (Kingston, NY/Kingston).

Junior Ashley Brown (Plainville,CT/Suffield Academy) made it a 2-0 Dutchwomen advantage at the 50:12 mark of the second half after deking past an RPI defender for a shot to the left.

Union rounded out the scoring at 77:52 as Sara Wilson (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) headed the ball past White off a corner from Chelsea Hargis (East Lyme, CT/East Lyme).  Hargis also assisted on Union's second goal.

The Dutchwomen, who outshot RPI, 22-4 in the game, saw Melissa McDonald (Lynnfield, MA/Phillips Academy Andover) post two saves before giving way to Mia Simone (Rexford, NY/Academy of the Holy Names), who made one stop.  White made six saves in the loss for Rensselaer.

Union wraps up its regular season on Saturday at Geneseo (2:30pm).  RPI travels to Rochester on Tuesday (4pm) and will close out its season on Thursday against Elmira at Harkness Field (4pm).
