CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard scored three special teams goals while Rensselaer tallied none and the Crimson defeated the Engineers, 3-1, in an ECAC Hockey League contest.  RPI falls to 8-13-7 overall and 4-8-4 in the league.  Harvard improves to 9-12-1 and 7-9-1.

The Crimson's Alex Meintel scored a power play goal just 1:32 into the second period before Chad Morin tallied another extra-man goal 1:14 into the third period.  RPI senior Kevin Broad cut the visitors' deficit to 2-1 with his second goal of the season with four minutes remaining in the third period.  Seth Klerer and Jake Luthi assisted on the goal.  Harvard closed out the scoring with a Steve Mandes empty net power play goal with under a minute left.

Mathias Lange finished with 20 saves in the loss for Rensselaer while Kyle Richter stopped 20 shots in the win.
