SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Junior Kayla Thibeault's goal at 76:03 proved to be the game-winner as Springfield held on to defeat Rensselaer, 1-0, in non-conference action this afternoon.  The Pride are now 5-1 while the Red Hawks fall to 3-2-1 on the season.

Thibeault scored past freshman keeper Meghan White (Kingston, NY/Kingston) late in the game to give the Pride the lead and the Springfield defense kept RPI at bay, allowing just one shot on the afternoon to the Pride's 14.

Keeper Sue Jenny made no saves in the victory for Springfield while White posted eight stops for Rensselaer in the loss.
