RPI is now 9-8-4 overall and 4-5-3 in league play. Colgate is now 7-9-3 and 4-3-2 in the conference.
After a scoreless opening period which saw the Engineers outshoot Colgate, 9-5, freshman Jacquie Colbourne (Calgary, AB/Bowriver Bruins) pushed the homestanding Raiders ahead at 17:49 of the second period. Sophomore Evan Minnick (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) and freshman Jessi Waters (Menlo Park, CA/San Jose Sharks) were credited with the assists on the power-play goal.
Despite holding a 19-14 edge in shots after two periods, RPI was unable to get onto the scoreboard until Weidner scored her seventh goal of the season in the final frame. Off a pass from freshman Kendra Dunlop (Granum, AB/Warner Hockey School), Weidner was finally able to get one past Colgate freshman netminder Lisa Plenderleith (Ajax, ON/Durham Jr. Lightning) to make it a 1-1 game and force overtime.

The Engineers battle the Colonials on Friday (7pm) and Saturday (3pm) at the Houston Field House. Colgate also returns to competition on Friday and Saturday at Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
