Sophomore designated hitter Pat Reardon (Troy, NY/LaSalle Institute) chipped in with two hits, including a double, three runs scored and a run batted in. Among his runs scored was a steal of home.

Junior Andrew Novick (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay) and freshman Mike Cieszko (Stevenson Ranch, CA/William S. Hart) both pitched an inning to preserve the shutout for Rensselaer. Ripon starter Mike Lloyd, who allowed ten runs (5 earned) in six innings, suffered the loss.

RPI returns to action on Monday against Husson at 11am in Tampa. Senior Tim Klein (Westwood, NJ/St. Joseph Regional) is expected to get the start. The Red Hawks then face Arcadia in a doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 9:30am.
