Alex Penny stopped five shots as the men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw against Drew University in the Valliant Classic at Manhattanville College. The Engineers remain undefeated on the season, moving to 3-0-1 overall, while the Rangers are now 0-1-4.
Both teams had a number of opportunities to score early in the contest, with RPI holding a slight lead in shots, 4-3.

Lincoln Field (Contoocook, NH/Hopkinton) had the game's best chance when he was awarded a penalty kick, but Drew goalie Jeff Rogers made the one-on-one save to preserve the tie.
The teams played through two 10-minute overtimes, but were unable to claim the win. RPI held the slight advantage in shots (11-7), while the Rangers held the edge in corner kicks (9-8).
Field led Rensselaer with three shots in the contest, while three other players Four Engineers had two shots each, including senior defenseman

The men's soccer team opens the home portion of its schedule on Tuesday when they host Oneonta State on Renwyck Field (6:30pm).
