A strong start to the second half brought RPI to within 10 points (48-38) midway through the second half. Senior Jamie Zajac (Merrimack, NH / Bishop Guertin) and freshman Tyler Gendron (Merrimack, NH / Merrimack) were two of the catalysts for Rensselaer as they scored eight points apiece, including a pair of three-pointers each. St. Lawrence answered by scoring nine of the next 12 points and eventually built its lead back to 19 points before winning by 16.

Condlin made 8 of 11 field goals and 9 of 11 free throws to lead all scorers with his 26 points. He also had eight rebounds in 33 minutes. Stahler also had eight caroms, along with two assists and a block. Miller finished with nine points and Lewis had six for the Saints, who shot 50% (22 of 44) in the game.
