THE FACEOFF
The Engineers continue ECAC Hockey play, welcoming No. 15 Colgate on Friday and Cornell on Saturday. Both games face off at 7 p.m. and can be heard live on WRPI, 91.5 FM, and www.wrpi.org. Saturday's game versus Cornell, which is Whiteout!, will air live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.  Both games can be seen live on RPI TV and www.rpitv.org.

ON TIME WARNER CABLE SPORTSCHANNEL
Saturday's game with Cornell is the first of two RPI contests that will air live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. The other is the 38th Annual Big Red Freakout! against Yale on Feb. 14. The Rensselaer Alumni Association is hosting Hockey Night Coast to Coast so the game will be watched by alumni and students in 14 regional chapters across the country.

LAST WEEKEND
Rensselaer visited then-No. 15 Quinnipiac and Princeton, getting back to ECAC Hockey action in 2015. The Engineers fell to the Bobcats, 4-2, on Friday before defeating Princeton, 5-2, on Saturday to end a nine-game losing streak. RPI got goals from Milos Bubela and Jacob Laliberte against Quinnipiac. Five different players scored on Saturday. Curtis Leonard, Drew Melanson, and Chris Bradley gave RPI a 3-0 lead in the first period, while Matt Neal and Viktor Liljegren scored later in the game.

ENDING THE SKID
Rensselaer ended a nine-game losing skid on Saturday with a win at Princeton. RPI looks to win back-to-back games for the first time since defeating Dartmouth (Nov. 8) and Princeton (Nov. 14).

COLGATE SERIES HISTORY
RPI and Colgate have played 120 times since 1916, with the Engineers holding a 60-56-4 advantage. Rensselaer had won four straight games against Colgate before skating to a 1-1 tie in their last meeting on Feb. 14 in Hamilton. The two programs have played in Houston Field House 59 times, with RPI posting a 33-26-0 record on their home ice.

CORNELL SERIES HISTORY
Another long-time intrastate rivalry, the Engineers and Big Red have played 102 times since their first meeting in 1908. Cornell holds a 60-34-8 lead in the all-time series, but Rensselaer has won three of the last five games. The last meeting at Houston Field House ended in a 3-3 tie, but RPI owns the last victory - a 3-1 win on Feb. 15 in Ithaca. In 48 games in Troy, the Big Red hold a 27-19-2 record, but the Engineers haven't lost to Cornell at the Houston Field House since 2011.
