ITHACA, N.Y. - The No. 10/10 Cornell University women's hockey team jumped out to an early lead in defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team, 7-1, at Lynah Rink. With the win, the Big Red improve to 10-3-2 in ECAC Hockey play. The Engineers drop to 5-19-4 overall and 3-12-1 in the league.
Freshman winger Morgan McKim scored her first two collegiate points, capping the Big Red offensive explosion with a third period goal. The senior top-line of Jillian Saulnier (goal, 2 assists), Brianne Jenner (goal, assist) and Emily Fulton (2 goals, assist) combined for eight points. Sophomore Sydney Smith scored for her second straight game and fourth in five games overall. Junior Cassandra Poudrier added her second goal of the season.

Paula Voorheis made 11 saves to improve to 10-6-3.
Kelly O'Brien stopped 23 of 28 shots before being replaced by

The Engineers are back in action next weekend, when they host Clarkson and St. Lawrence at the Houston Field House on Friday (7pm) and Saturday (4pm), respectively. Cornell visits Colgate on Tuesday (7pm).
