RPI HOLDS OFF BENTLEY: The Engineers scored the first three goals before the Falcons pulled two back in a 3-2 on Friday ... Sophomore Lou Nanne and senior Mark Miller gave the visitors a 2-0 lead after one period, with sophomore Drew Melanson picking up an assist on each ... Classmate Mike Prappavessis then netted his first goal of the season, midway through the second period, to give RPI a 3-0 lead ... The Falcons drew to within 3-1 late in the second, before junior Max French made it 3-2, early in the third ... Cam Hackett made 13 saves in the second and 11 in the third to help preserve the win ... He finished with 31 total stops, including seven on the penalty kill.

Sophomore Lou Nanne (3 goals, 4 assists) and freshman Evan Tironese (1 goal, 6 assists) have seven points apiece, while juniors Jake Wood (3 goals, 3 assists) and Parker Reno (6 assists) join senior Zach Schroeder (2 goals, 4 assists) with six points each. 

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senior Jason Kasdorf has started eight of the team's 12 games this season and is 3-4-0 with a 2.46 goals against average and a .927 save percentage ... Freshman Cam Hackett (3-0-2) has factored into the last five decisions (4 starts) and carries a 2.48 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.

HACKETT HONORED BY LEAGUE: ECAC Hockey announced its weekly award winners for November 17 and freshman Cam Hackett was named Rookie of the Week ... He went 1-0-1 with a 2.35 goals against average and a .933 save percentage ... Totaling 70 saves, including a career-high 41 in the RPI's 3-2 overtime victory over then-No. 10 Yale on Friday night, he also made 29 stops in a 3-3 tie with Brown on Saturday.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Engineers have started the season at 14.6% (6 for 41) on the power play ...The penalty kill has opened at 84.2% (48 for 57).

IN THE FACE-OFF CIRCLE: The Engineers have face-offs at a 44.9% clip over the first 12 games ... Senior Mark Miller has won a team-best 50.4% of his draws, while junior Riley Bourbonnais is second at 47.6% ... Senior Milos Bubela rounds out the top three draw men at 47.5%.

SHORTHANDED LEADERS: Rensselaer's three shorthanded goals are third most in the country, trailing Nebraska-Omaha (5) and Penn State (4) ... Senior Milos Bubela is tied for the nation's individual lead with Robert Morris senior Zac Lynch, St. Cloud State sophomore Judd Peterson and Nebraska-Omaha juniors Jake Guentzel and Justin Parizek ... All five players have two shorthanded goals.

BOURBONNAIS COOLED: RPI junior Riley Bourbonnais saw his six-game point streak come to an end on Friday at Bentley ... He had amassed three goals and four assists for seven points over the previous six contests, with a +8 rating and a team-high 20 shots.

GIVING UP THE BODY: The Engineers have blocked 180 shots through 12 games, including a team-high 29 from senior captain Chris Bradley ... Sophomore defenseman Mike Prapavessis has 24, while junior Riley Bourbonnais has gotten in front of 18 attempts from the opposition, which the most among RPI forwards.

UNBEATEN STREAKS: The Engineers seven-game unbeaten streak is the fourth-longest in the country ... ECAC Hockey teams own two of the top four streaks, including Quinnipiac, which is a perfect 11-0.

ALL-TIME VS. NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Wildcats own a 25-22-0 series lead over the Engineers ... The inaugural meeting came on February 7, 1964, in which the Engineers won, 10-1, in Troy.

2014-15 VS. THE WILDCATS: Senior netminder Scott Diebold came on for an injured Jason Kasdorf in the second period and stopped all 22 shots he faced, as the Engineers held of New Hampshire, 2-1, on November 25, 2014 ... Curtis Leonard and Parker Reno tallied late in the first period for the comeback victory.

PACING NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Wildcats are led offensively by junior Tyler Kelleher, who has six goals and 15 assists for 21 points in 11 games ... Sophomore Andrew Poturalski (8 goals, 12 assists) is second with 20 points, while senior Dan Correale (6 goals, 2 assists) has eight.

IN GOAL FOR UNH: Sophomore Daniel Tirone (1-5-3) has a 4.01 goals against average and an .873 save percentage in nine starts ... Classmate Adam Clark is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .939 save percentage in two starts.

RECORD LEAGUE START: Rensselaer is out to its best conference start to a season since the 1970-71 team opened ECAC play with a 6-0-2 record.

MORE OVERTIME: The Engineers four consecutive overtime games were the most since the 1991-92 season, when the team played in five straight ... RPI went 2-0-3 in those contests.

JUNEAU EARNS NCAA HONOR: RPI legend Joe Juneau '91 has been selected to receive the prestigious NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, which is given annually to six former student-athletes for their collegiate and professional achievements ... An Aeronautical Engineering major, he was a two-time All-America and Hobey Baker Finalist for Rensselaer ... He was a Silver Medalist at the 1992 Olympic Games for his native Canada and led the tournament in scoring with 15 points ... His 13-year NHL career has been followed by years of service towards youth development and environmental preservation in the Great White North.

DRAFTED: Rensselaer has three student-athletes on the roster who have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft ... Sophomore defenseman Mike Prapavessis was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round, 105th overall, of the 2014 draft ... Freshman forward Lou Nanne was taken in the seventh round (188th overall) in the 2012 draft by the Minnesota Wild ... Junior goatender Jason Kasdorf was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round, 157th overall in 2011.
