POSTSEASON HOPES ALIVE: In order to make the 2015 Liberty League Tournament, the Engineers need to beat Bard and see either Union or Clarkson lose ... The Dutchwomen (10-5 Liberty League) host William Smith (3-12), while the Golden Knights (10-5) visit Skidmore (11-4).
ENGINEERS TRIPPED UP AT VASSAR: Vassar led for nearly 34 minutes in defeating Rensselaer, 69-51, on Friday night in Poughkeepsie ... In the first half, the Engineers led in the early going by as many as six points, 17-11, after a pair of free throws by senior
Bailei Tetrault ... Vassar responded with a 12-0 run over the next 2:45, fueled by a pair of triples from freshman guard Samarah Cook to pull ahead by six ... Vassar took a two-point lead into the break, 29-27, behind Samarah Cook and fellow freshman Ariella Rosenthal, who both had eight points in the first half ... The Brewers' lead grew to 18 late in the contest ... Rosenthal finished with a game-best 19 points, grabbing seven rebounds with two assists ... Junior Caitlin Drakeley scored 11 points, while Rose Serafini recorded her first career double-double, pulling down a game-best 14 rebounds to go with 10 points and a game-high six blocks ...

Bailei Tetrault rounds out the top three scorers with 6.7 points per game ... Tetrault also has a team-high 57 assists to go along with 38 steals ... Freshman
Shaina Iton chips in with 5.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while blocking 66 total shots on the year.
PERFORMER OF THE WEEK: RPI senior forward
Amanda Lynch averaged 23.0 points and 6.5 rebounds to earn her first Liberty League Performer of the Week award of the season ... She also recorded two assists, six steals and two blocked shots ... Her week was highlighted by scoring a team-best 24 points against Clarkson on Saturday.
ITON AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS: RPI Freshman
Shaina Iton entered the weekened ranked 11th nationally in blocked shots per game (3.00) ... She is second amongst rookies in that department, trailing Richard Stockton's Sasha Williams (5.17 bpg).
GETTING DEFENSIVE: The Engineers are fourth in the Liberty League in points allowed per game (59.4), third in opponent field goal percentage (34.8%) and first in three-point shooting defense (23.2%).
PACING THE RAPTORS: Junior Tytravia Riley leads Bard with 14.0 points and 13.7 rebounds per game ... Classmate Bianka Bell is second at 12.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest ... Freshman Gabriela Piercy rounds out the top three scorers at 5.9 points per game.
BARD UPENDED BY SAGE COLLEGE: A late 9-0 run turned a lead into a deficit, as Bard lost to Sage College, 56-48, in a non-league game on Thursday night ... The Raptors had one of their better shooting first halves of the season, jumping out to an early 10-point lead, but trailed 24-23 at halftime ... Sage fell behind by seven early in the second half ... The Gators took the lead for good with 6:34 to go as part of that 9-0 run ... Bard cut Sage's lead to four twice in the final 85 seconds, but the Gators took care of business at the foul line, to hold on for the win ... Sage got 14 points and five blocks from senior Megan Bowman ... Bard got 17 points and 21 rebounds from junior Tytravia Riley, and 17 points, three rebounds and two assists from Bianka Bell.

Shaina Iton blocked nine shots to lead the Rensselaer to a 43-33 victory over Bard College ... It was a defensive struggle from the start, as RPI held Bard to just 17% shooting from the field in the first half ... The Engineers led 18-12 at the break, led by eight points from
Bailei Tetrault ... RPI expanded it's lead early in the second half and was never threatened ... Lynch also had three assists and a steal. Iton added eight points, 11 rebounds and two assists ... Bard got 13 points from Bianka Bell, and 11 points and 17 rebounds from Tytravia Riley.
