GAMEDAY: Rensselaer hosts St. Lawrence in its first action since January 12 and its first home game since January 9.

THE STANDINGS: RPI sits in ninth place in the conference, while the Saints are in second place ... The Engineers and SLU both have 11 games remaining ... The top four teams in the conference qualify for the league tournament in late February.

NON-LEAGUE IN COMMON: Both RPI (68-66) and St. Lawrence (63-57) defeated Middlebury this year. 

BOUNCE BACK: Rensselaer looks to rebound from a loss in its last outing (and fourth straight), a 70-62 defeat at Vassar.

RPI AT VASSAR: Guard Jesse Browne scored a career-high 24 points to lead Vassar to a 70-62 win over Rensselaer ... The Engineers were paced by freshman Tom Horvat's 17 points ... He also had four rebounds and four assists ... Senior Chase Almond scored 13 points with six rebounds and classmate Tyler Gendron had 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds. 

SCORING LEADERS: In RPI's 14 games, freshman Tom Horvat has led the team in scoring eight times ... Senior Tyler Gendron has done so three times, while Chase Almond, Nate Kane and Andreas Kontopidis has done so once each.

ST. LAWRENCE TO DATE: The Saints struggled out of the gate, losing its first three games and four of their first five ... SLU rebounded to win five consecutive games before losing two in a row ... St. Lawrence won its most recent contest, knocking off league-leading RIT on January 16, 87-82 in Canton.

JANUARY 2, 2015: Guard Willie Zachery scored a game-high 21 points and four others reached double figures as the Saints defeated Rensselaer 73-68 in the Liberty League opener for both schools ... Zachery scored six of his points from the free throw line in the final 34 seconds to help his team stave off the Engineers ... The game was close throughout with the visitors holding a three-point lead, 32-29, at halftime and the score tied as late as with 6:10 left in the second half (56-56) ... Kyle Kobis (14 points), Riley Naclerio (12), Kyle Edwards (12) and Brady Condlin (10) reached double figures ... Rensselaer got 18 points and 10 rebounds from Chase Almond, while Brian Hatcher finished with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots ... Nate Kane and Josh Dugas had 12 points apiece. 

JANUARY 17, 2015: Rensselaer earned a 67-62 win at St. Lawrence, holding off the Saints behind senior Josh Dugas' 15 points ... Dugas led RPI behind 5-of-9 shooting, while Tyler Gendron and Nate Kane each had 13 points ... St. Lawrence was led by Brady Condlin's 17 points and six rebounds, while Kyle Edwards had 13 points and six boards.
