THE HOME STRETCH: The 16th-ranked Engineers open a stretch of 10 consecutive ECAC Hockey games to close out the regular season this weekend, when they travel to Brown and 11th-ranked Yale on Friday (7pm) and Saturday (7pm), respectively.

ENGINEERS WIN MAYOR'S CUP: Junior Jimmy DeVito broke up a 2-2 in the second period and the 16th-ranked Engineers added two insurance goals in the third, on their way to a 5-2 victory over Union College on Saturday, in the 4th Annual Mayor's Cup, at the Times Union Center in Albany ... Sophomore Lou Nanne had a goal and an assist for a team-high three points, while senior goaltender Jason Kasdorf made 30 saves.

SKATES AND CUP: For the first time since the Mayor's Cup was played for in 2012-13, the Engineers have possession of both the Capital Skates (a trophy awarded to the team that wins the regular season series between RPI and Union) and the Mayor's Cup Trophy at the same time.

THIRD TIME'S A CHARM: With their win on Saturday, the Engineers are now 3-0 against Dutchmen this year ... It is the first time since the 2002-03 team went 3-0-1 that RPI has beaten Union three times in a single season.

POINTS LEADERS: Junior Riley Bourbonnais has 13 goals and seven assists for a team-high 20 points in 23 games ... Sophomore Lou Nanne (5 goals, 13 assists) has 18 points, while senior Zach Schroeder (3 goals, 12 assists) has 15 ... Junior Jake Wood (7 goals, 7 assists) and sophomore Mike Prapavessis (2 goal, 11 assists) have 14 and 13 points, respectively.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senior Jason Kasdorf has started 17 of the team's 26 games this season and is 7-5-4 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .938 save percentage ... Freshman Cam Hackett (6-2-2) has started nine games and carries a 2.34 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Engineers come into Saturday at 11.4% (9 for 79) on the power play ...The penalty kill has climbed to 85.7% (84 for 98).

PENALTY KILL IN 2016: RPI has killed off penalties at a rate of 86.7% (13 for 15) since January 1 ... That ranks fourth among ECAC Hockey teams and 22nd nationally.

IN THE FACE-OFF CIRCLE: The Engineers have won face-offs at a 45.2% clip through 26 games ... Junior Riley Bourbonnais leads the way at 52.6% ... Senior Milos Bubela is second at 47.7%, while junior Jimmy DeVito rounds out the top three at 46.8%.

UNBEATEN STREAK: The Engineers are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak (2-0-3) ... RPI has scored first in all five games.

UNBEATEN STREAK II: RPI is also riding a five-game unbeaten streak in ECAC Hockey play (1-0-4), which includes a win over then-8th-ranked Cornell (1-0) and a tie with first-ranked Quinnipiac (2-2).

HEATING UP: Sophomore Lou Nanne has a goal and three assists in his last two games ... Senior Zach Schroeder has points in three straight games (1 goal, 2 assists).

FREE HOCKEY: The Engineers have gone to overtime eight times season ... All eight have come in ECAC Hockey play and the team's record is 2-0-6 in those contests.

WORTH A DIME: The Engineers are 7-1-2 this season when senior Zach Schroeder records at least one assist ... They went 4-2-1 last year and 6-2-1 in 2013-14.

SCOUTING BROWN: The Bears are led offensively by senior Nick Lappin, who has 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points ... Freshman Tommy Marchin (10 goals, 10 assists) has 20 points, while senior Mark Naclerio (5 goals, 11 assists) has 16.

BEARS GOALTENDING: Junior Tim Ernst (4-9-3) has started 15 of the club's 19 games in goal, carrying a 2.95 goals against average and an .893 save percentage.
ALL-TIME VS. BROWN: RPI's .679 winning percentage against the Bears is its highest against any league opponent ... The Engineers are 59-26-8 in the series, including a 3-3 tie at the Houston Field House on November 14, 2015.

FOR YALE: The 11th-ranked Bulldogs are paced by senior Stu Wilson, who has three goals and 13 assists for 16 points ... Freshman Joe Snively (7 goals, 8 assists) and junior John Hayden (10 goals, 3 assists) have 15 and 13 points, respectively.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Junior Alex Lyon boasts an 11-3-4 record as the starter in 18 of 19 games this season ... He has a 1.62 goals against average and a .936  save percentage.

SERIES OVERVIEW: RPI owns a 56-44-6 overall record in the all-times series with Yale, which dates back to January 22, 1909 ... The Bulldogs won the inaugural meeting, 3-0, in Albany ... The Engineers came away with a victory in the most recent match-up, topping Yale, 3-2 in overtime, at the Houston Field House on November 13.

ENGINEERS VS. RANKED TEAMS: The Engineers are 4-3-3 against ranked opposition this season, including victories over then-No. 1 Boston College (2-1), then-No. 10 Yale (3-2 in OT) and then-No. 8 Cornell (1-0).
