Bailei Tetrault dribbled the ball up the court and found Krumbhaar cutting to the top of the key, where she hoisted a game-tying attempt but it was off the mark ... Clough was one of five Rensselaer student-athletes to reach double digits in scoring, recording 16 points with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots ... Krumbhaar finished with 15 points, while
Elizabeth Eckhardt and
LaKissa Martin both scored 11 ...
Shaina Iton registered 10 points and 11 rebounds.
ALTERNATING: Rensselaer, which is 4-6, has alternated wins and losses over its past four games and has yet to have a winning streak.
CLARKSON AT UNION: Senior Ashley Loggins scored 14 first quarter points en route to her second career 30-point game but her effort wasn't enough as Clarkson lost at Union, 63-57 ... The Golden Knights cruised to a 17-point lead at the half, 34-17, behind Loggins, who had 14 of Clarkson's 18 first quarter points ... The Golden Knights held Union scoreless over the first 3:31 of the second quarter, gaining a double-digit advantage in the process ... That lead swelled to as many as 19 points ... Clarkson maintained a 14-point lead until the midway point of the third quarter (40-26) and held a 43-31 lead with 4:24 remaining, but the Knights went 0-for-5 with three turnovers down the stretch and saw the lead fall to three points going into the fourth ... Union went on an 11-0 run, forcing six turnovers and allowing just three shot attempts during the run that gave the home team the win ... Loggins shot 11 for 23, with 12 of attempts in the first quarter, to finish with 30 points ... Devin Sorell added nine points, all on three pointers.
TWO AFTER THREE: Clarkson dropped its second straight game on Saturday at Union ... The Golden Knights, who are 5-3 overall, had won three consecutive contests prior to its current skid.
