Men's Hockey Resumes Play at No. 4 Harvard Friday (7pm)

CLOSING OUT 2016
The Engineers return to action with a single ECAC Hockey game at No. 4 Harvard on Friday (7pm) ... The contest concludes an eight-game road trip, which began on November 22 ... RPI then plays host to No. 7 UMass Lowell on Tuesday, January 3 (7pm).

BIG THIRD PERIOD LIFTS BROWN
The Bears created separation in the third period after snapping a 3-3 deadlock at 11:32 of the frame ... Connor Wynne had the eventual game-winner, while Charlie Corcoran and Brent Beaudoin added empty-netters for a 6-3 win ... Junior Mike Prapavessis had a goal and an assist for RPI, while Viktor Lijegren recorded a pair of assists.

YALE GETS JUMP ON ENGINEERS
Four first period goals propelled the Bulldogs to a 7-3 win over Rensselaer on December 9, 2016 ... John Hayden led the charge for Yale, netting two goals with two assists ... Joe Snively added two goals and one assist ... For RPI, Viktor Liljegren picked up a goal and an assist, while senior captains Riley Bourbonnais and Jimmy DeVito also tallied.

MODEL OF CONSISTENCY
Dating back to last season, senior captain Riley Bourbonnais has at least one point in 24 out of 28 weekends ... His scoreless trip to Quinnipiac and Princeton was his first and only fruitless weekend in nine this year.

SPECIAL TEAMS
The Engineers enter the weekend with the fifth-best power play in ECAC Hockey at 18.8% (19 for 101) ... RPI's 19 power play goals are second most in the league ... The penalty kill comes in at 82.6% (92 for 111).

STREAKING
Senior captains Riley Bourbonnais (2 goals) and Jimmy DeVito (2 goals) each netted goals against Yale and Brown on December 9 and 10 ... Juniors Viktor Liljegren (2 goals, 3 assists) and Mike Prapavessis (1 goal, 4 assists) are the Engineers' hottest skaters, having produced five points each in the team's last three games.

TOP SCORING DEFENSEMAN
Junior defenseman Jared Wilson lead the nation in goals by a defenseman with eight ... His 11 points rank seventh among ECAC Hockey blueliners.

HARVARD LEADERS
The fourth-ranked Crimson are led offensively by senior Andrew Kerfoot, who has five goals and 14 assists for 19 points ... Freshman Adam Fox (1 goal, 15 assists) has 16 points, while senior Tyler Moy (8 goals, 7 assists) has 15.

CRIMSON GOALTENDING
Junior Merrick Madsen (8-2-1) has played every minute in goal for Harvard, compiling a 2.27 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

2015-16 VS. HARVARD
The Crimson went 2-1-1 against RPI last season, including a two-game sweep of the Engineers in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals at Bright Hockey Center ... Rensselaer's lone victory came on February 12, 2016, when the Kenny Gillespie scored the eventual game-winner in a 2-1 victory ... Jason Kasdorf made 49 saves in the road triumph.

RPI's three shorthanded goals are good for 16th in the nation ... Senior Riley Bourbonnais' two shorties are tied for second in the country, behind Union's Mike Vecchione, who has three.

Sophomore Evan Tironese has a team-high 20 points on four goals and 16 assists ... Senior captain Riley Bourbonnais (9 goals, 6 assists) has 15 points, while junior Jared Wilson (8 goals, 3 assist) and freshman Jacob Hayhurst (4 goal, 7 assists) have 11 points apiece.

Senior captain Riley Bourbonnais has won a team-best 52.4% of his face-offs, while freshman Jacob Hayhurst is second at 49.7% ... Senior captain Jimmy DeVito rounds out the top three at 43.5%.
