GAMEDAY (Dec. 31, 2016): It's the final game of 2016 for the Engineers (5-5; 0-1 Liberty League), who host St. Lawrence (2-6; 0-1) in a Liberty League game.

FRIDAY'S ACTION: RIT held RPI to just over 21 percent shooting and the Tigers pulled down 59 rebounds in defeating the Engineers, 58-48 ... RIT held a six point lead, 16-10, after the first quarter, but RPI pulled to within 26-25 at halftime ... The Engineers' deficit was three points after three quarters, 39-36 ... The margin was two points in RIT's favor, 42-40, with 7:29 left in the second half before the visitors scored five straight points and eight of 10 for a 50-42 lead with 4:42 to go ... RPI battled back to within four (50-46) with just under two minutes to play, but the Tigers made a jumper and five free throws.

LEADING SCORERS: In Friday's game against RIT, a 58-48 loss, sophomore Sam Krumbhaar scored 13 points, while classmate Elizabeth Eckhardt totaled 12 points with nine rebounds ... Junior Shaina Iton had a team-best 10 rebounds.

ALL-TIME AGAINST ST. LAWRENCE: The Engineers and Saints have played 60 times with RPI trailing 23-37 ... St. Lawrence has won three consecutive head-to-head meetings and 10 of the last 11 ... The most recent win by the Engineers came in Troy in 2015 (63-59).

ALL-TIME AT HOME: In 28 contests in Troy, the Engineers are 14-14 against St. Lawrence.

JANUARY 22, 2016: RPI had a chance to tie the game with two seconds left in the fourth quarter but the shot hit the rim and bounced out, allowing St. Lawrence to win, 52-51 ... Rensselaer battled back from a 12-point deficit at the beginning of the fourth quarter and pulled to within three, 50-47, with 1:12 to go ... Shaina Iton had 20 points and 13 rebounds - both game-highs - with two assists, a steal and three blocked shots for RPI ... Cara Waterson led SLU with 13 points, along with three rebounds.

FEBRUARY 6, 2016: Cara Waterson and Jenny Scudder both scored 18 points and SLU made 20 of 24 free throws in defeating RPI, 79-70 ... Following a first quarter that ended 15-15, SLU outscored RPI by 10 points, 20-10, in the second quarter ... The Saints bumped that advantage to 17 points (48-31) midway through the third, but the Engineers scored the final 10 points of the frame to cut the deficit to seven ... The Engineers were led by LaKissa Martin, who scored a game-high 21 points with 10 rebounds ... Sam Krumbhaar scored 17 points with two rebounds and four assists.

FRIDAY'S ACTION: The Saints had a two-game winning streak snapped at Union, 69-60.
