FRIDAY NIGHT: Rensselaer rallied from an 11-point deficit with five minutes left to force overtime, then outscored Bard 9-5 to pull out a 58-53 victory ... The Raptors led 23-20 at half and 46-35 with 4:54 left in the game, but that's when everything changed ...
Tom Horvat hit a three-pointer, then a layup to cut it to 46-40 with 3:13 left ... A layup by
Jonathan Luster and another back-door cut by Horvat completed a 9-0 run, and RPI was down just two with 1:53 to go ... The Engineers trailed by three with under a minute left, when Horvat hit a contested three-pointer to tie the score with 48 seconds remaining ...
Tyler Gendron hit a layup, was fouled, then made the foul shot to start OT, and Rensselaer never trailed ... Horvat led RPI with 18 points and six steals, while Gendron scored 16 points.
