"THE STREAK": RPI put together a 17-game BRF! unbeaten streak from 1991-2007, in which the Engineers went 12-0-5.

THE NIGHT BEFORE: The Engineers have gone 15-12-2 in the 29 games played on the Friday night before Freakout! ... RPI is 23-13-2 overall in games played before Freakout!

RECENTLY: Since the 17-game winning streak ended in 2008, the Engineers are 3-4 in the Big Red Freakout! ... RPI is 3-2 in the last five, including a 3-0 shutout of Dartmouth on February 2, 2013.

POINTS LEADERS: Junior Riley Bourbonnais (13 goals, 7 assists) and sophomore Lou Nanne (6 goals, 14 assists) are tied for the team lead with 20 points apiece ... Senior Zach Schroeder (3 goals, 14 assists) is third with 17 points, while junior Jake Wood (7 goals, 7 assists) and sophomore Mike Prapavessis (2 goals, 11 assists) have 14 and 13 points, respectively.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senior Jason Kasdorf has started 19 of the team's 28 games this season and is 8-6-4 with a 2.11 goals against average and a .935 save percentage ... Freshman Cam Hackett (6-2-2) has started nine games and carries a 2.34 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Engineers come into Saturday at 13.4% (11 for 82) on the power play ...The penalty kill is now at 84.8% (84 for 99).

IN THE FACE-OFF CIRCLE: The Engineers have won face-offs at a 45.2% clip through 28 games ... Junior Riley Bourbonnais leads the way at 52.6% ... Senior Milos Bubela is second at 48.3%, while junior Jimmy DeVito rounds out the top three at 48.3%.

UNBEATEN STREAK SNAPPED: The Engineers saw their six game unbeaten streak (3-0-3) snapped with their loss at 11th-ranked Yale on Saturday.

BEST BEHAVIOR: The Engineers did not take a penalty on Saturday against 11th-ranked Yale ... It is the first time this has occured since October 24, 2009 – a 3-2 win over American International at the Houston Field House ... RPI women's hockey assistant coach, Jake Anderson, was the backup goalie for the Yellow Jackets that night.

HEATING UP: Sophomore Lou Nanne has two goals and four assists in his last four games ... Senior Zach Schroeder has a goal and three assists over that same stretch.

RANKED: The Engineers are ranked in the USCHO.com Poll for the fifth straight week ... RPI is currently 14th, with fellow ECAC Hockey schools Quinnipiac (1st), Harvard (7th), Yale (11th), Cornell (17th) and Dartmouth (20th).

RANKED II: For the first time since March of 2013, the Engineers made the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll, sitting 15th of the 15 teams ranked.

SCORING FIRST: RPI is 11-1-4 when scoring first this season and just 3-7-1 when conceding the game's first goal.

FREE HOCKEY: The Engineers have gone to overtime eight times season ... All eight have come in ECAC Hockey play and the team's record is 2-0-6 in those contests.

WORTH A DIME: The Engineers are 8-1-2 this season when senior Zach Schroeder records at least one assist ... They went 4-2-1 last year and 6-2-1 in 2013-14.

SCOUTING ST. LAWRENCE: The Skating Saints enter the weekend having won 3 of 4 games ... They are led offensively by sophomore Joe Sullivan (9 goals, 8 assists) and junior Gavin Bayreuther (7 goals, 10 assists), who have 17 points apiece ... Senior Brian Ward (7 goals, 8 assists) has 15 points, while Drew Smolcynski (6 goals, 8 assists) and senior Tommy Thompson (5 goals, 9 assists) have 14 points each.

HAYTON MUST STOP: Sophomore netminder Kyle Hayton (13-9-1) has started 23 of the team's 26 games, carrying a 2.00 goals against average and a .936 save percentage ... He ranks second in ECAC Hockey in save percentage and total stops (669).

ALL-TIME VS. SLU: The Saints hold an 80-57-6 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to January 3, 1951 ... St. Lawrence won the inaugural meeting, 7-2, in Troy.

NOVEMBER 7, 2015: After allowing an early 2-1 lead to get away, Rensselaer scored two unanswered goals in regulation and overtime to thwart 15th-ranked St. Lawrence, 4-3, at Appleton Arena ... Senior Mark Miller, provided the game-winning tally, one minute into the extra session ... Junior Riley Bourbonnais and sophomore Drew Melanson each had a goal and an assist for the visitors, who open the league season with a four-game unbeaten streak ... Freshman Cam Hackett made 37 saves for his first collegiate victory, in his first start between the pipes.

FOR THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS: Clarkson enters the weekend on a five-game unbeaten streak (4-0-1) ... Sophomore Sam Vigneault (9 goals, 11 assists) leads the way with 20 points, with junior A.J. Fossen (8 goals, 9 assists) in second with 17 ... Sophomore Brett Gervais (4 goals, 9 assists) and junior Jordan Boucher (3 goals, 10 assists) have 13 points apiece.

CLARKSON GOALTENDING: Senior Greg Lewis (7-4-2) has a 1.89 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in 13 games ... Junior Steven Perry (6-6-1) has a 2.87 goals against average and an .885 save percentage.

ALL-TIME VS. CLARKSON: The Golden Knights have beaten the Engineers more times than any other opponent and lead the series 87-50-11 ... RPI did win the first ever meeting, however, taking a 14-1 decision in Troy.

NOVEMBER 6, 2015: Senior Travis Fulton and junior Jake Wood got the Engineers off to a 2-0 lead, but the 17th-ranked Golden Knights battled back for a 2-2 tie, thanks to a Terrance Amorosa marker with 1:56 left in regulation ... Senior netminder Jason Kasdorf made 28 saves before getting knocked out of the game ... His replacement, freshman Cam Hackett, wound up with the decision, stopping 10 of the 11 shots he faced.

NORTH COUNTRY KILLER: RPI senior and Massena, N.Y. native, Mark Miller has 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) in 19 career games agaisnt St. Lawrence and Clarkson ... He scored the overtime-winner in RPI's 4-3 victory over the Saints on November 7.

ENGINEERS VS. RANKED TEAMS: The Engineers are 4-4-3 against ranked opposition this season, including victories over then-No. 1 Boston College (2-1), then-No. 10 Yale (3-2 in OT) and then-No. 8 Cornell (1-0).
