GAMEDAY: Following a three-game road trip, the Engineers (10-2; 4-1 LL) host Liberty League foe St. Lawrence (13-1; 4-1 LL) on Saturday at 1pm ... The game will be aired live on RPI TV, which can be found online at www.rpitv.org.
 
NATIONALLY-RANKED: The game pits two teams listed in the latest USILA Coaches Poll with RPI ranked No. 17 and the Saints at No. 4.
 
STREAKING: Rensselaer enters the game having won nine straight games and 10 of its last 11 contests ... SLU has won five consecutive games.
 
COMMON OPPONENTS: The Engineers and Saints have played five of the same teams with both teams going 4-1 ... The lone loss for both was to nationally-ranked RIT.
 
LIBERTY LEAGUE STANDINGS: RPI and SLU are tied for second place and have clinched Liberty League Playoff berths ... The winner of the matchup remains alive for at least a share of the regular season title and secures a home game in the Liberty League Semifinal.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Rensselaer ran off five straight goals late in the second quarter and early in the third, and the No. 17 Engineers held on for a 13-10 non-conference win at Hamilton on Tuesday ... The Engineers scored five times in the second quarter and led 7-5 at the break ... RPI's advantage grew to four goals at 10-6 after three quarters ... Matthew Gilman led the Engineers with two goals and an assist as eight players scored at least one goal ... Breanainn McNeally, JT Kelly, Jake Weidner and Matt Hall tallied two goals each ... Billy Gibbs recorded a goal, five ground balls and four caused turnovers ... Oliver Kaija won 10 faceoffs and scored a goal, and Connor Hill and Blake Frasca caused four turnovers apiece ... David Gibbs made six saves in 55-plus minutes in goal.
 
WEEKLY HONORS: On Monday, the Liberty League weekly awards were announced and RPI's JT Kelly earned Rookie of the Week ... Also recognized was junior goalie David Gibbs, who was named to the Honor Roll ... A freshman attack, he earned the prize after tallying a goal and three assists with seven shots and a ground ball ... Gibbs was tabbed for the third consecutive week after saving 10 shots while allowing only three goals in 57:56.
 
LAST YEAR VS. ST. LAWRENCE: Breanainn McNeally and Jake Weidner combined for five goals and three assists and RPI upended St. Lawrence, 10-8, in Canton ... The Engineers scored eight of the first 11 goals ... McNeally had two goals and two assists, while Weidner scored three times ... Classmate David Gibbs backstopped the win by making six saves ... Tommy Hovey, Jeremy Vautour and Luke Dilisio scored two goals each for St. Lawrence ... Nick Ford and Andrew Butturini combined to make eight saves in the goal.
 
ST. LAWRENCE TO DATE: The Saints won their first eight games with the initial seven being played away from Canton ... Among the wins was a double overtime victory at Middlebury, 14-13 on March 15 ... SLU's first home game was a win over Geneseo (19-4), but the Saints fell to RIT, 16-12 ... They have since won five consecutive with four of those being on the road.
 
MOST RECENTLY: Jeremy Vautour scored six goals and now has 16 goals in the last three games as he led St. Lawrence to a 15-5 victory at SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday ... Nine others had single markers for SLU, which outshot the Bears, 61-22.
