UNION EDGES RPI IN MAYOR'S CUP
Cole Maier scored the overtime-winning goal just 33 seconds into overtime to send No. 9 Union home with a 3-2 victory over the Engineers in the Fifth Annual Mayor's Cup on January 19 at the Times Union Center ... RPI, which never trailed in the game, scored the only goal of the first period, when senior captain Riley Bourbonnais tallied on the power play ... The Dutchmen equalized in the second, but freshman defenseman Charlie Manley potted his first collegiate goal to give RPI a 2-1 lead after two ... Anthony Rinaldi tied the game at 2-2 early in the third, setting the stage for Maier's OT-winner.

Sophomore Evan Tironese has a team-high 22 points on four goals and 18 assists ... Senior captain Riley Bourbonnais (10 goals, 7 assists) has 17 points, while freshman Jacob Hayhurst (6 goal, 9 assists) has 15 ... Junior Jared Wilson (9 goals, 3 assists) lead all blueliners with 12.

BETWEEN THE PIPES
Sophomore Chase Perry is 2-13-1 as the starter in 16 of RPI's 26 contests in 2016-17 ... He has a 3.58 goals against average and a .903 save percentage ... In eight ECAC Hockey starts he is 2-6-0 with a 3.11 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

PERRY IN 2017
Through three games in 2017, sophomore goalie Chase Perry is 1-3-0 with a 2.77 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.

FIRST SHUTOUT
Sophomore Chase Perry made a career-high 41 saves in earning his first collegiate shutout against No. 2 Harvard on January 13 at the Houston Field House.

MODEL OF CONSISTENCY
Dating back to last season, senior captain Riley Bourbonnais has at least one point in 26 out of 31 weekends ... He has tallied a point in 10 of 12 weeks of action this season.

NOT SO TERRIBLE TWOS
Since the start of the 2014-15 season, RPI is 3-1-0 against the No. 2 in the country ... The Engineers swept then-No. 2 Union that season, while falling to Boston University ... RPI topped then-No. 2 Harvard last Friday, 4-0.

Freshman Jacob Hayhurst has won a team-high 51.5% of his face-offs, while senior captain Riley Bourbonnais is second at 50.6% ... Junior Bradley Bell rounds out the top three at 42.4%.

GIVING UP THE BODY
Junior defenseman Jared Wilson leads the Engineers with 44 blocked shots, while senior alternate captain Parker Reno is right behind him with 40 ... Sophomore blueliner Tommy Grant has 34 blocks, while captain Riley Bourbonnais has a forward-high 29 ... As a team, the Engineers are fourth in the nation with 393.

FORWARDS CHIPPING IN
Rensselaer forwards are second in the country with 181 blocked shots ... Senior captains Riley Bourbonnais and Jimmy DeVito lead the way with 28 and 25, respectively, while sophomore Evan Tironese rounds out the top three with 22.
