GAMEDAY (Dec. 1, 2017): The Engineers (3-3) start the Liberty League portion of their schedule with a pair of home games, first against Clarkson (4-2) and then St. Lawrence (2-1) on Saturday.

FIRST AND LAST: RPI and the Golden Knights will not only begin the league slate against one another, but will also end it on the same floor, February 17 in Potsdam.

FOUR IN SIX: Rensselaer is in the midst of playing four games in a six-day span, having played at Keene State and Middlebury on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.

MONDAY'S GAME: Junior Elizabeth Eckhardt scored 27 points, including 24 in the second half, but it was not enough as RPI lost at Keene State, 60-57 ... Freshman guard Lilly Shlimon scored a career-high 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field to lead the Owls.

ON WEDNESDAY: Middlebury pulled away in the fourth quarter from visiting Rensselaer, earning a 64-54 win ... LaKissa Martin led the Engineers with 19 points, including 9-10 at the free-throw line, to go along with three steals, while Elizabeth Eckhardt added 15 points ... Kate Goodell yanked down a game-high 12 rebounds ... Betsy Knox paced Middlebury with career-high totals of 23 points and nine rebounds, 

ALL-TIME AGAINST CLARKSON: The Engineers and Golden Knights have played 70 times with RPI holding a 50-20 advantage ... The series started in 1978 and Rensselaer won the first eight meetings before Clarkson won five straight and 12 of 14 from 1985 through 1994 ... The Engineers won 28 consecutive matchups until a win by the Golden Knights in 2012 ... Clarkson has won four of the last five meetings.

LAST SEASON: Rensselaer dropped both games to the Golden Knights, 68-47 in Troy in early January and 74-70 in Potsdam on January 28.

ALL-TIME AT HOME: In 36 contests in Troy, the Engineers are 28-8 against Clarkson ... RPI is 8-2 in the last 10 games played in the Capital District.

CLARKSON TO DATE: The Golden Knights played their first game on November 15 at Oswego, where they defeated the Lakers, 67-52 ... After a loss to the University of New England, Clarkson has won three of its last four games.

COMMON OPPONENT: Both Rensselaer and Clarkson have played Middlebury and both lost to the Panthers ... The Golden Knights were beaten at home, 53-49, on November 26 ... RPI was defeated, 64-54 on the road on Wednesday.
