OFFENSIVE DEPTH: RPI has six players who average at least six points, led by juniors Andreas Kontopidis (19.0), Tom Horvat (18.0) and Marcus Giese (10.5) ... Senior Asa Barnhill averages 7.2, Bard Featherson, a junior, is at 6.5 and sophomore Mitchel Wayand scores 6.2 per.

DISTRIBUTION: Six Engineers have at least 10 assists with five averaging at least two per contest ... Tom Horvat has 19, Asa Barnhill has 18, Marcus Giese and Kevin Davis both have 16, Bard Featherston has 12 and Andreas Kontopidis has 11 ... Kontopidis has played four games and the others have played six each.

LAST TIME OUT: Rensselaer hosted St. Lawrence on Saturday and earned a 76-57 victory ... Junior Marcus Giese had 18 points and 12 rebounds, including seven offensive, with two assists and three steals ... Tom Horvat also had 18 points, along with four rebounds, six assists and four steals, and Bard Featherston registered 12 points ... Kevin Davis scored 11 points with seven rebounds.

TEAM STATS: RPI shot 43.3% (29 of 67) from the floor, including 12 of 35 (34.3%) on three-pointers, in Saturday's win over St. Lawrence ... Rensselaer held the edge in rebounds, 35-33, and  turned over the Saints 18 times while losing nine ... The Engineers had 12 steals to SLU's five.

LAST TIME VS. MCLA: Last December 9, MCLA's Keiland Cross scored a season-high 27 points with seven rebounds, and four assists in leading the Trailblazers past RPI, 71-67, in the opening game of the Tri-State Shootout ... The victory was the first for head coach Derek Shell at MCLA ... Tyler McKay netted a career-high 16 points and Joe Wiggins ended with 12 points and six rebounds for the Trailblazers, who shot 45% in the win ... RPI was paced by Andreas Kontopidis' 16-point effort ... Brian Hatcher ended with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Asa Barnhill had 12 points ... The Engineers shot 45%, but committed 14 turnovers.

MCLA TO DATE: The Trailblazers began the year with a loss to Western New England (78-60) before defeating Sarah Lawrence (61-59) ... They then lost to Williams (97-72), NYU (97-71) and Sage (98-88) before defeating Elms on Saturday (77-72).
