Engineers welcome No. 13 Wildcats to the Houston Field House for midweek contest (7pm)

ONE MORE TIME
RPI hosts New Hampshire on Wednesday night in its final game of the fall slate ... The Engineers welcome the Wildcats to the Houston Field House for a 7pm puck drop ... The team is then idle until December 29 and 30, when it hosts Maine for a two-game series.

BROWN WINS IN OVERTIME
The Bears scored four unanswered goals to beat RPI, 5-4 in overtime, on Saturday night at the Houston Field House ... Tommy Marchin had a hat trick along with an assist to pace the visitors, while Gavin Nieto made 27 saves ... The Engineers received goals from Jacob Hayhurst, Charlie Manley and Billy Jerry, while Mike Prapavessis had two assists ... Freshman netminder Linden Marshall registered 25 saves.

ENGINEERS TOP YALE
Rensselaer answered an early third period Bulldogs goal with two of the their own in defeating Yale, 2-1, on Friday night at the Houston Field House ... Senior captain Jared Wilson netted the equalizing tally at 12:31 of the frame, before classmate Viktor Liljegren scored the eventual game-winner at 17:04 ... Freshman goaltender Linden Marshall had 32 stops for his first career conference victory.

RPI LEADERS
Sophomore Jacob Hayhurst leads the Engineers with 12 points on six goals and six assists through 16 games ... Three players are tied for second with nine points, including junior Evan Tironese (5 goals, 4 assists), sophomore Todd Burgess (1 goal, 8 assists) and senior Mike Prapavessis (9 assists).

ENGINEERS GOALTENDING
Freshman netminder Linden Marshall is 2-5-1 with a 2.91 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in nine games (8 starts) ... Junior Chase Perry has started eight games for the Engineers this season, going 1-5-2 with a 3.28 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.

SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Wildcats are 8-5-1 overall and 4-4-1 in Hockey East, which is good for sixth place in the 11-team conference ... UNH is averaging 2.93 goals per game and allowing 2.14, with a 19.0% power play and a 90.8% penalty kill.

ALL-TIME VS. UNH
RPI is 23-26-0 against New Hampshire, dating back to the first ever meeting between the two schools on February 7, 1964 – a 10-1 Engineers victory in Troy ... Rensselaer won five straight games from January 29, 1977 to January 20, 1979, while UNH had a five-game winning streak from January 2, 1993 to December 21, 1998.

BETWEEN THE PIPES
Senior Daniel Tirone has started all 14 games for New Hampshire, going 8-5-1 with a 2.12 goals against average and a .932 save percentage ... Freshman Mike Robinson and senior Adam Clark have also seen time in net this season.

2016-17 VS. UNH
The Wildcats won a non-league contest on November 22, 2017, 5-0, in Durham, N.H. ... Five different players found the back of the net for the Wildcats, including Dylan Maller, Michael McNicholas and Tyler Kelleher, who each had a goal and an assist ... Daniel Tirone turned away all 25 shots he faced for his fifth career shutout.

FIRST GOALS
Sophomore Max Reisinger and freshman Troy York each picked up their first collegiate goals recently ... Reisinger netted RPI's opening tally at Niagara on October 20, while York potted the eventual game-winner, late in the first period at RIT on October 21 ... York later scored a second.

YORK AMONG LEADERS
Freshman Troy York ranks fifth among ECAC Hockey rookies in scoring with eight points ... He is also fifth in shots (28), sixth in assists (5), 12th in shooting percentage (10.7%) and sixth in blocked shots by a rookie forward (10)

MARSHALL TOO
RPI freshman goaltender Linden Marshall ranks second among ECAC Hockey rookie goaltenders in save percentage (.913) and total saves (273) ... He is third in minutes (535:16) and appearances (9).

VIKTOR VS. YALE
With his goal on Friday, Engineers senior Viktor Liljegren now has five points (4 goals, 1 assists) in his last five games against Yale, including the overtime-winner on November 13, 2015 at the Houston Field House.

MARSHALL RECENTLY
In his last six starts, freshman netminder Linden Marshall has posted a 2.52 goals against average and a .920 save percentage ... He has a 1-5-0 record, with those games coming against No. 4 Notre Dame (2), No. 5 Clarkson and Maine ... He ranks sixth in ECAC Hockey in goals against average and save percentage over that stretch.

IN LOSSES
Freshman Linden Marshall ranks ninth nationally in save percentage in losses at .903 ... His 3.08 goals against average in defeats is 11th nationally.
