HOME AGAIN: The Engineers are playing their first home game since January 21 after concluding a four-game road stretch on Friday at Union.
FRIDAY'S ACTION: Sophie Borg scored 17 points with 11 rebounds to lead host Union to a 70-63 victory over RPI ... Rensselaer was led by
Sam Krumbhaar, who tallied 16 points ... The Engineers got 12 points from
LaKissa Martin and 11 from
Elizabeth Eckhardt ...
Kate Goodell led the team with seven rebounds and joined
Lauren Young with four assists each ... RPI shot 43%, but 56% in the fourth quarter.
LATE LEAD: RPI had a 61-60 lead with 46 seconds left at Union but the Dutchwomen scored the next four for a three point lead with 24 seconds remaining ... Union then made eight free throws.
ALL-TIME AGAINST WILLIAM SMITH: RPI is 21-41 in the series with the Herons, which dates back to 1989, a 65-51 win by WSC in Geneva ... In 28 games in Troy, the Engineers are 13-15, including 2-3 in the last five.

Shaina Iton scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked six shots, but her effort was not enough as RPI lost at William Smith, 72-58 ... RPI held a 15-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Herons took control in the second quarter, outscoring Rensselaer by 13 points (23-10) for a 10-point lead (35-25) at halftime ... William Smith had three reach double figures in scoring, led by Melanie Patterson's 17 points ... Natalia Baum finished with 15 and Mia Morrison had 10.Â
