LAST MEETING: On January 31 at Bard, RPI built a 22-point lead on the strength of a strong defensive first half, then hung on down the stretch to defeat Bard, 56-48 ... Rensselaer scored the first nine points of the game and held Bard without a field goal for the first nine-plus minutes of the contest ... Andreas Kontopidis led RPI with 14 points and nine rebounds ... Brian Hatcher added 14 points and eight rebounds ... Jonatha Luster finished with 11 points and five assists ... Bard got 14 points from Chris Lockwood and 11 points from Harry Johnson.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Sophomore Andreas Kontopidis scored 23 points to lead the Rensselaer to a 73-53 win at Vassar ... Senior Brian Hatcher added 15 points and classmate Jonathan Luster finished with 13 to round out the Engineers' top scorers.
