GAMEDAY (March 29, 2017): After hosting and defeating Bard College on Saturday, the Engineers are right back at East Campus Stadium for a non-league affair against Plattsburgh State ... The Engineers are 4-2 overall, while the Cardinals are 5-2.

STREAKING: Rensselaer, which is ranked 19th in the latest Division III poll, has won three straight games ... The Cardinals are 3-1 in their last four.

ALL-TIME: Rensselaer has played Plattsburgh five times in the program's history - all coming in the past five seasons ... RPI is 3-2 and has won each of the last three contests.

LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP: RPI got three points from five different players and the Engineers won for the fourth straight game, defeating Plattsburgh State, 9-6 ... The Cardinals held a 3-2 lead after one quarter, but the second and third quarters belonged to the Engineers, who outscored Plattsburgh 7-2, including six-consecutive goals in the middle stanzas ... Breanaiann McNeally and Lucas Bastarache combined for five of the seven RPI goals over that stretch ... Matt Massaria finished with nine saves for Plattsburgh and David Gibbs corralled a game-high 11 for RPI ... The Cardinals owned slight 11-8 and 37-34 edges in faceoffs and shots, respectively.

RPI ON SATURDAY: Breanainn McNeally recorded a game-high nine points in leading RPI to a 15-5 victory over Bard ... McNeally scored four goals and added five assists to pull even with Adam LoGiudice '07 for third in school history with 205 career points ... The Engineers led 6-0 after one quarter and 7-0 after McNeally netted his third goal of the game with 11:17 left in the second ... RPI put the game away in the opening stages of the third quarter, as senior Chaz Bell and sophomore CJ Kigar combined to score three times in the opening 3:21 ... David Gibbs had one save in the opening 15 minutes, before giving way to junior Parker Smith, who had one stop over 41:34.

HONORED: Breanainn McNeally has been selected as the Offensive Performer of the Week by the Liberty League ... In two games last week, both victories, McNeally had 15 points, including seven goals, with eight shots, all on goal, five ground balls and two turnovers ... In an 8-5 win at Montclair on Thursday, he scored three times and set up three more ... He then scored four times with five assists for nine points in a win over Bard ... McNeally was also honored by the ECAC with a weekly honor.

NATIONALLY-RANKED: Rensselaer is first in Division III in man-up offense (61.9) and seventh in man-down (88.9) ... Breanainn McNeally is tied for first nationally with 6.33 points per game ... He has 38 points (21 goals) in six games.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL: Senior goaltender David Gibbs was chosen to the conference's Weekly Honor Roll ... He had 12 saves on 16 shots with three ground balls in two wins ... He stopped three shots in each of the first two quarters and then made four in the third, finishing with 11 against Montclair State ... Gibbs then had one save in one period against Bard on Saturday.

PLATTSBURGH LAST TIME OUT: Buoyed by a career day from senior attack Ryan Callahan, Plattsburgh eased past visiting Plymouth State, defeating the Panthers 18-6 in non-conference action ... The SUNYAC leader in goals (22), assists (14) and points (36), Callahan posted a career-high eight points on five goals and three assists ... Junior goalie Austin Graham was credited with his first career win at Plattsburgh State, making six stops in 45 minutes of play.
