GAMEDAY (Jan. 12, 2018): The Engineers (7-5; 2-3 Liberty League) look to end a four-game slide when they host Vassar (3-9; 2-3 Liberty League) at East Campus Arena ... The game is the second of three straight at home with Bard visiting on Saturday (4pm). 

ON TUESDAY: Hobart made 51.1% of its shots and three players reached double digits as the Statesmen posted a 69-57 victory ... Hobart held a four-point lead at halftime, 36-32, and built it to 10 by scoring the first six points of the second half ... RPI scored the next five and 13 of 19 to get within two with 11 minutes remaining (48-46), but an 8-0 run by Hobart made it a 10-point margin (56-46) with just under nine minutes remaining ... POINT PRODUCERS: Rensselaer had three in double figures on Tuesday, led by Andreas Kontopidis (15 points) ... Tom Horvat and Marcus Giese both had 14 points with Giese grabbing seven rebounds ... Horvat had four steals for the Engineers, who shot 35.5% (22 of 62), including 6 of 23 (26.1%) from behind the arc.

VASSAR ON TUESDAY: Vassar won its third game in the last four tries with a 67-59 victory over Skidmore ... The Brewers got big nights from three freshmen who combined for 35 points, 18 rebounds, four blocks, and two assists ... Lance Tebay recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 10 boards; B.J. White played a career-high 27 minutes while adding a career-best 11 points; and Zach Bromfeld added nine points and eight rebounds ... Jesse Browne had a team-high 17 points and a team-best four assists.

ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BREWERS: The Engineers are 28-9 against Vassar, who they first met in 1989 ... RPI has won three in a row dating back to the 2015-16 season.

LAST SEASON: Rensselaer defeated the Brewers by 11 points in Troy (69-58) and by 20 points (73-53) a month later.

JANUARY 17, 2017: Jonathan Luster scored 23 points, Andreas Kontopidis tallied 20 and Rensselaer shot 53 percent from the floor in defeating Vassar, 69-58 ... The Engineers made 26 of 49 shots, including 10 of 20 from 3-point range, while the Brewers shot 39 percent (25 of 63).

STATISTICAL LEADERS: Jonathan Luster made 8 of 12 shots for 23 points while collecting four rebounds, an assist and a steal ... Andreas Kontopidis connected on 8 of 16 shots with five rebounds, an assist and a steal ... Alex Seff led Vassar with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

FEBRUARY 17, 2017: Andreas Kontopidis scored 23 points to lead RPI to a 73-53 win at Vassar ... Brian Hatcher added 15 points and Jonathan Luster finished with 13 ... Kontopodis also had nine boards, as RPI outrebounded Vassar, 41-32 ... Alex Seff and Hunter Gettings led the Brewers with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
