UCONN UPENDS ARMY
After Army's Alex Wilkinson opened the scoring 8:13 into the first period, the Huskies netted the next four goals, including the eventual game-winner from Brian Rigali at 8:41 of the second period ... Wilkinson pulled the hosts within 4-2 on the power play early in the third, before Alexander Payusov potted an insurance marker before the midway point of the frame ... Adam Huska made 32 saves for the Huskies, while Jared Dempsey (16 saves) and Trevin Kozlowski (10 saves) saw time in goal for Army.
LAST TIME OUT VS. HUSKIES
Drew Melanson scored the game-tying goal with two seconds left in the second period to help the Engineers stay unbeaten all-time against UConn with a 1-1 tie ... Scott Diebold made 33 saves for the Engineers, including 13 in the second period along ... The Huskies received a second period tally from Joey Ferriss, while Rob Nichols had 24 saves between the pipes.

The Engineers are unbeaten against six current Division I NCAA teams, including two they have ye to play (Canisius & Omaha) ... Of the teams it has played RPI is 5-0-1 against the University of Alabama-Huntsville, 3-0-3 against the University of Connecticut, 2-0 against Robert Morris University and 1-0 against Bemidji State University.

The Rensselaer men's hockey captains have been announced and senior
Tommy Grant will be joined by classmate
Brady Wiffen and junior Willy Reilly in leading the Engineers throughtout the 2018-19 season ... A defenseman from Sparta, N.J., Grant played in 30 games last season, registering one assist and 10 penalties for 20 minutes. He appeared in 21 of 22 ECAC Hockey contests, collecting an assist and seven penalties for 14 minutes ... A forward out of St. Mary's, Ont., Wiffen played in 34 games last season, registering five goals and six assists for 11 points. He led the team in shorthanded goals (1), while also scoring one game-winner ... A defenseman from Toronto, Ont., Reilly is the top returning point-getter from the blue line for the Engineers, having recorded seven goals and six assists for 13 points a season ago.
DRAFTED
Rensselaer has three student-athletes on the roster who have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft ... Senior goaltender
Chase Perry was chosen in the fifth round (136th overall) of the 2014 draft by the Detroit Red Wings ... Junior
Todd Burgess was selected in 2016 draft in the fourth round (103rd overall) by the Ottawa Senators, while classmate

ECAC HOCKEY ON ESPN+
ECAC Hockey today announced a multi-year deal with ESPN to showcase nearly 180 additional men's and women's games on ESPN+, beginning in the 2018-19 season. The agreement features all regular and post-season home games for ECAC Hockey members Clarkson, Colgate, Quinnipiac, St. Lawrence, and Union. Fans who subscribe to ESPN+ will also have the opportunity to watch home games of six other ECAC Hockey members.
