GAMEDAY (Dec. 8, 2018): The Engineers (5-3; 1-1 Liberty League) return to ECAV Arena after four straight games away from home as they welcome SUNY Cobleskill (6-2; 2-0 NEAC) for a non-league contest (2pm).

HOME STREAK: RPI won each of its last five home games in 2017-18 and its first - and only - contest at ECAV this season.

LAST NON-LEAGUE: The game with the Fighting Tigers is the final non-league affair for RPI, which is 4-2 against non-conference opponents to date.

LAST TIME OUT: On Tuesday at MCLA, Andreas Kontopidis scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Engineers to an 81-44 win over the Trailblazers ... Patrick Mahoney added 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting with five boards, Mason Memmelaar collected 14 points off the bench and Tom Horvat ended with 10 points ... Kevin Davis led all players with 13 rebounds ... Defensively, Rensselaer held the Trailblazers to just 20% shooting from the floor and forced 10 turnovers ... No MCLA player scored in double figures.

1,000 POINT CLUB: Rensselaer senior Andreas Kontopidis reached 1,000 career points last Saturday with a three-pointer at St. Lawrence ... He is the 15th player in school history to reach that milestone and currently ranks 13th all-time.

CLIMBING THE LADDER: There are two active student-athletes in Rensselaer's 1,000 point club in Tom Horvat and Andreas Kontopidis ... A guard, Horvat has 1,302 points, which is fifth in school history ... He is 57 points from tying Paris Moore '05 for fourth ... Kontopidis, a forward, is 13th with 1,016 points, which is 20 in back of Bill Mansell '78 for 12th ... Tom Ronan '92 is Rensselaer's all-time leading scorer with 1,724 points.

FIGHTING TIGERS TO DATE: Cobleskill began the season with a one-point loss to RIT before winning three straight games (at Sage, ACPHS, at Hunter) ... After a loss at SUNY Delhi, the Fighting Tigers have wins in each of their last three contests (at Wells, SUNYIT, Green Mountain).

COMMON OPPONENT: Rensselaer and Cobleskill have both played Sage and both defeated the Gators ... The Fighting Tigers won 94-83 in Albany behind 24 points from Antwan Claxton and 22 points and 15 rebounds from Dashown Nelson ... The Engineers defeated Sage 76-51 with Jeffrey Coulter scoring 15 points and collecting six rebounds off the bench.

RPI VS. COBLESKILL IN 2017-18: RPI opened the season with a 68-50 decision over the Fighting Tigers ... The Engineers used a strong rebounding effort to control the glass by a 51-41 margin, including 16 offensive ... RPI was led by Andreas Kontopidis, who had a team-high 19 points with six rebounds and four assists ... Tom Horvat had 18 points, five rebounds and four steals and Asa Barnhill had 15 points with seven rebounds ... Cobleskill saw Malik Chambers score 25 points with four rebounds ... Ja'Quan McGill went for nine points and four rebounds.
