FREAKOUT! WEEKEND IS HERE
The Engineers play host to No. 2 Cornell and Colgate this weekend in their final two games of the regular season ... RPI looks for a season sweep of the Big Red on Friday night (7pm), before welcoming the Raiders to the Houston Field House for the 41st Annual Big Red Freakout! (7pm) ... It will be just the second time Colgate has taken part in the yearly contest.

TIGERS DOWNS RPI
Princeton netted two goals in the first 47 seconds en route to a 7-2 victory over Rensselaer on Friday night at Hobey Baker Rink ... Ryan Kuffner registered a hat trick, while Jackson Cressey had two goals and one assist ... RPI was led offensively by freshman Donovan Ott, who netted his first collegiate goal to go along with an assist ... Classmate Emil Ohrvall also had a goal for the Engineers.

QUINNIPIAC POWERS TO WIN
The Bobcats scored three power play goals in defeating RPI, 4-1, on Saturday night in Hamden, Conn. ... Four different players found the back of the net for Quinnipiac, including Craig Martin, who opened the scoring at 4:57 of the first period ... Scott Davison potted the eventual game-winner at 12:22 of the second ... Donovan Ott broke up the shutout at 11:35 of the third period, burying a shot from just outside the crease for his second goal of the weekend.

ALUMNI GAME
RPI's annual Alumni Game will take place on Saturday at 12pm at the Houston Field House. Close to 30 former players will be participating in the event, spanning five decades.

RPI LEADERS
Sophomore Jacob Hayhurst leads the Engineers with 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists through 32 games ... Senior Mike Prapavessis (17 assists) is second with 17 points, while junior Evan Tironese (6 goals, 9 assists) has 15 ... Senior Jared Wilson has a team-high four power play tallies, while Liljegren leads the club with three game-winners. 

ENGINEERS GOALTENDING
Freshman netminder Linden Marshall is 4-16-2 with a 3.35 goals against average and a .902 save percentage in 24 games (23 starts) ... Junior Chase Perry has started nine games for the Engineers this season, going 1-7-2 with a 3.55 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.

DOUBLE DIGITS
The Engineers have 11 players with double-digit point totals, including freshmen Billy Jerry (7 goals, 4 assists) and Emil Ohrvall (2 goal, 9 assists) ... Nine players have multiple goals, led by senior Viktor Liljegren and sophomore Jacob Hayhurst, with nine apiece.

ALL-TIME VS. CORNELL
The Big Red are 62-37-10 in the all-time series, which dates back to January 31, 1908 – a 4-0 Cornell win in Albany ... RPI went 2-2-1 during that season, with wins over Carnegie Tech and Union.

ENGINEERS TOP NO. 1 CORNELL
Sophomore Jacob Hayhurst scored 20 seconds into the game and Brady Wiffen added a shorthanded goal in the second to lead RPI past then-No. 1 Cornell on February 3 at Lynah Rink ... Freshman goaltender Linden Marshall made 29 saves, including 11 in the third period to help secure the victory ... Jared Fiegl netted the lone tally for the Big Red, while Matthew Galajda turned away 26 in the Cornell cage.

RECENTLY
RPI has enjoyed moderate success at Lynah Rink as of late, going 2-1-2 in its last five trips ... Prior to last season's 2-0 defeat, the three-game unbeaten streak in Ithaca was the Engineers' longest since they went 2-0-1 from 1996 to 1998 ... RPI has not swept a season series with Cornell since the 1997-98 campaign, in which they won 7-5 at home and 4-3 in Ithaca.

AT THE HFH
The Engineers own a 3-1-1 record over the five meetings in Troy, including back-to-back shutouts in 2015 and 2016 ... Rensselaer is 21-28-2 at home against the Big Red in 51 games all-time, which is good for a .431 winning percentage.

FOR THE BIG RED
Nationally second-ranked Cornell is 22-3-2 overall this season, including a 16-2-2 record in ECAC Hockey play ... The Big Red are 13-1-2 over their last 16 games, with their lone defeat coming at the hands of the Engineers on February 3 ... Junior Anthony Angello (12 goals, 11 assists) has 23 points to pace the team offensively ... Senior Trevor Yates (11 goals, 10 assists is right behind him with 21 points, while Mitch Vanderlaan (4 goals, 13 assists) rounds out the top three with 17 points.

CORNELL NETMINDERS
Freshman Matthew Galajda (18-3-2) has a 1.47 goals against average and a .941 save percentage in 24 games ... He has eight shutouts, including five in the last 10 games ... Senior Hayden Stewart (4-0-0) has a 1.01 goals against average and a .956 save percentage in five games (3 starts), posting one shutout.

ALL-TIME VS. THE RAIDERS
RPI leads the all-time series with Colgate, 63-59-5 ... The Raiders were victorious in the first ever meeting – 6-1 in Hamilton ... RPI swept the season series last year, winning 5-2 at the Houston Field House and 3-2 in the Engineers first ever appearance at the Class of 1965 Arena.

RECENTLY
Rensselaer owns a 6-3-2 record over the last 11 meetings, dating back to January 18, 2013 ... The Engineers are 4-0-1 in Troy over that stretch.

COLGATE BLANKS RPI
Sophomore goaltender Colton Point stopped all 20 shots he faced to pace the Raiders to a 3-0 victory over the Engineers on February 2 in Hamilton, N.Y. ... Freshman Henry Marshall netted his first collegiate goal at 2:06 of the first, before Hunter Racine and Mike Panowyk tallied for the hosts ... Linden Marshall made 26 saves on 28 shots.

SCOUTING COLGATE
Entering the weekend, the Raiders are 13-14-5, including a 9-9-2 mark in ECAC Hockey play ... They are led offensively by sophomore Bobby McMann, who has 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points ... Junior Adam Dauda (8 goals, 8 assists), freshman Josh McKechney (4 goals, 12 assists) and sophomore John Snodgrass (2 goals, 14 assists) all have 16 points, while senior Mike Panowyck (8 goals, 7 assists) and freshman Nick Austin (6 goals, 9 assists) have 15 apiece.

RAIDERS IN GOAL
Sophomore Colton Point (12-9-4) has a 1.74 goals against average and a .946 save percentage in 25 games ... The Canadian Junior Championships netminder has five shutouts this season, including one against the Engineers.

BIG RED FREAKOUT!
The Engineers are 21-14-5 in the Big Red Freakout! dating back to the inaugural event on February 25, 1978 – a 6-5 overtime win over New Hampshire ... RPI has enjoyed a 17-game unbeaten streak from 1991 to 2007, in which it boasted a 12-0-5 record ... Princeton snapped the streak in 2008, winning 4-0 ... The game has also brought about an NCAA stipulation known as the "RPI Rule" which prohibits artificial noisemakers from being distributed at games ... In 1987 against Brown (an 8-3 RPI victory), a red horn was the gift that was handed out.

Colgate won its only appearance in the Big Red Freakout! on February 4, 2012 – 8-3 behind a four-game game from Austin Smith ... Joe Wilson chipped in with three assists, while Alex Evin made 28 saves ... Patrick Cullen, Guy Leboeuf and Zach Schroeder tallied for the Engineers.
