CORNELL WINS WHITEOUT!
Second-ranked Cornell scored three straight goals midway through the game in defeating Rensselaer, 4-2, on Friday night at the Houston Field House ... Four different players found the net for the Big Red, with Trevor Yates collecting a pair of assists ... Jacob Hayhurst had a goal and an assist to lead the Engineers, while Patrick Polino also tallied ... Both freshmen netminders, Matthew Galajda of Cornell and Linden Marshall of RPI, made 27 saves.

COLGATE TAKES 41ST FREAKOUT!
The Raiders received two goals from freshman Paul McAvoy in earning a come-from-behind 5-2 win over Rensselaer on Saturday night, in the 41st Annual Big Red Freakout! at the Houston Field House ... Freshman Henry Marshall's second period tally stood as the game-winner ... RPI sophomore Jacob Hayhurst scored twice for the Engineers, while all three seniors - Viktor Liljegren, Mike Prapavessis and Jared Wilson - had assists.

RPI LEADERS
Sophomore Jacob Hayhurst leads the Engineers with 23 points on 12 goals and 11 assists through 34 games ... Senior Mike Prapavessis (18 assists) is second with 18 points, while junior Evan Tironese (6 goals, 9 assists) has 15 ... Senior Jared Wilson has a team-high four power play tallies, while classmate Liljegren leads the club with three game-winners. 

ENGINEERS GOALTENDING
Freshman netminder Linden Marshall is 4-18-2 with a 3.38 goals against average and an .899 save percentage in 26 games (25 starts) ... Junior Chase Perry has started nine games for the Engineers this season, going 1-7-2 with a 3.55 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.

DOUBLE DIGITS
The Engineers have 11 players with double-digit point totals, including freshmen Billy Jerry (7 goals, 4 assists) and Emil Ohrvall (2 goal, 9 assists) ... Twelve players have multiple goals, led by sophomore Jacob Hayhurst with 12 and senior Viktor Liljegren, who has nine.

ALL-TIME VS. THE RAIDERS
RPI leads the all-time series with Colgate, 63-60-5 ... The Raiders were victorious in the first ever meeting – 6-1 in Hamilton ... RPI swept the season series last year, winning 5-2 at the Houston Field House and 3-2 in the Engineers first ever appearance at the Class of 1965 Arena.

Sophomore goaltender Colton Point stopped all 20 shots he faced to pace the Raiders to a 3-0 victory over the Engineers on February 2 in Hamilton, N.Y. ... Freshman Henry Marshall netted his first collegiate goal at 2:06 of the first, before Hunter Racine and Mike Panowyk tallied for the hosts ... Linden Marshall made 26 saves on 28 shots.

SCOUTING COLGATE
Entering the weekend, the Raiders are 14-14-6, going 10-9-3 in ECAC Hockey play ... They are led offensively by sophomore Bobby McMann, who has 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points ... Freshman Nick Austin (6 goals, 11 assists) has 17 points, while three players have 16, including junior Adam Dauda (8 goals, 8 assists) and Mike Panowyk (8 goals, 8 assists) ... McMann has a club-best nine power play points on five goals and four assists ... He also paces the team in game-winners (3) and shots on goal (96).

Sophomore Colton Point (13-9-5) has a 1.72 goals against average and a .946 save percentage in 27 games (all starts) ... The Canadian Junior Championships netminder has five shutouts this season, including one against the Engineers.

The Engineers are 2-7-0 against teams ranked in the Top 20 of the USCHO.com poll so far this season ... RPI fell at then-No. 13 Clarkson, 6-0, on November 3 and defeated then-No. 16 Quinnipiac, 5-3, on November 10 ... Rensselaer was swept by No. 4 Notre Dame on November 17 and 18 ... MARSHALL HONORED II
ECAC Hockey announced its weekly award winners and Linden Marshall was named Rookie of the Week on February 6 ... He posted a 1.52 goals against average and a .948 save percentage in two contests last week ... He stopped 29 of 30 shots in RPI's 2-1 victory over then-No. 1 Cornell on Saturday night ... Against Colgate the previous night, he made 26 saves on 28 shots in a 3-0 defeat ... He had the second best goals against average and save percentage of any conference goaltender who played at least two games.

BLOCKING SHOTS
RPI has blocked 402 shots through 34 games this season, which ranks fifth in ECAC Hockey ... Senior Mike Prapavessis has a team-high 49, while junior Tommy Grant is right behind him with 43 ... Junior center Brady Wiffen leads all Rensselaer forwards with 24.

ON THE DRAW
Rensselaer has won 46.9% of its faceoffs so far this year ... Sophomore Jacob Hayhurst is a team-best 52.8%, while classmate Jake Marrello is second at 47.2% ... Junior Brady Wiffen rounds out the top three at 47.0%.

BUBELA '16 IN PYEONGCHANG
Rensselaer graduate Milos Bubela '16 played for the Slovakian men's hockey team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, scoring one goal in four games ... He was a plus-1 with eight shots, helping the team to a 1-3 record, including a 3-2 victory over the Olympic Athletes from Russia in the opener ... Slovakia was eliminated by the United States on Tuesday.
