GAMEDAY (April 25, 2018): The Engineers (12-2; 6-1 Liberty League) carry a four-game winning streak into their season finale, a Liberty League contest against St. Lawrence (10-4; 4-3 Liberty League).

LUCKY 13: Rensselaer is trying to win at least 13 games for the second time in the last three years ... RPI was 13-5 in 2016 ... The 1948 team also had 13 wins (13-0) ... The school record for wins is 14, which was established in 2010 (14-3).

NATIONALLY-RANKED: For the fourth consecutive week, the Engineers are ranked in the USILA Division III Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 17 ... RPI is one of four conference schools listed, including the Saints, who are 19th ... RIT is No. 1 and Ithaca is No. 15.

UP NEXT: Rensselaer has clinched the second seed in the league tournament and hosts a semifinal game on May 2 ... The opponent will be determined on Saturday when the quarterfinals are played ... The time of RPI's next game has yet to be determined.

200 WINS: Rensselaer's win over MIT on April 14 was the 200th in the RPI career of head coach Jim Townsend.

LAST WEEK: The Engineers went 2-0 last week, winning a pair of Liberty League road games ... They defeated Union, 8-4, last Wednesday and Clarkson, 12-11, on Saturday.

ON THE ROAD: RPI finished the regular season with a 7-1 road record with a seven-game winning streak.

AGAINST UNION: Senior Parker Smith stopped 17 shots, including 14 in the second half, to lead Rensselaer to an 8-4 victory ... He held the Dutchmen to one goal per period by making two saves in the first quarter, one in the second, six in the third quarter and eight in the fourth ... Senior Oliver Kaija won 10 of 16 faceoffs with four ground balls ... Zach Lukas had three goals.

VERSUS CLARKSON: Senior Cliff Kigar tied the game with 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter and then tallied the game-winner with just 33 seconds left as RPI won 12-11 ... Clarkson held an 11-9 lead with just over four minutes to play, but RPI rattled off the last three goals ... Kigar finished with three goals and an assist ... Zach Lukas scored once with three helpers.

RECOGNIZED: Cliff Kigar was named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll after scoring five goals with an assist, along with 13 shots and three grounds to lead the Engineers to two wins ... He had two goals with six shots and a ground ball against Union ... He then scored three, including the game-tying and game-winning markers in a win at Clarkson ... He added seven shots and two ground balls against CU.

ALL-TIME VS. ST. LAWRENCE: RPI has played the Saints 57 times and beaten them in 17 games ... Ten of Rensselaer's victories have come in home games.

LAST SEASON: No. 7 St. Lawrence scored seven seconds into the game and then three more times within the next 2:17 for a 4-0 lead and then answered a pair of goals by Rensselaer with 11 consecutive in a 16-4 win ... David Gibbs had three saves in the first 20:08 and Parker Smith made five saves with three ground balls ... Conor Healey had three goals and an assist, while Jordan Dow finished with three goals for SLU.

ST. LAWRENCE TO DATE: St. Lawrence won five of its first six games and nine of its first 11 before losing two of its last three ... The Saints most recently fell at Union in overtime (9-8) and to RIT (15-13) with a win over SUNY Potsdam (18-2) squeezed in.
