Vassar, which remains in first place in the conference standings with a 5-1 record (11-2 overall), held a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and a 34-19 edge at halftime. Isa Peczuh had 14 points and Sophie Nick pulled down nine rebounds for the home team in the first 20 minutes. RPI, which drops to 7-6 and 2-4 in the league, saw six student-athletes with points, led by senior LaKissa Martin, who had four points and five rebounds.

The Brewers came out of the locker room at halftime and scored the first three baskets to take a 21-point lead (40-19) before Martin hit on a layup at the 7:20 mark. Cenan answered by scoring three straight baskets, including a three-pointer, over the next two minutes. Nick finished the 10-0 run with an and-1 for a 50-21 lead.
