GAMEDAY (Jan. 18, 2019): Following three straight Liberty League road games, the Engineers return to East Campus Arena to host Ithaca in a conference contest ... RPI enters with a 9-5 overall record and a 4-3 league mark, while the Bombers are 8-6 and 3-3.

FIRST OF TWO: Rensselaer is home again on Saturday afternoon when it faces Union in a league matchup (4pm).

LAST TIME OUT: On Saturday, four Raptors scored in double figures to power Bard over Rensselaer, 68-54 ... Armando Dunn, Alijah Rue and Justyn Rogers each finished with 13 points, while David Runcie collected 12 points in the winning effort ... Tom Horvat cut an Engineers deficit to 50-47 with 7:51 left but the Raptors outscored RPI 18-7 the rest of the way ... Horvat had 16 points, while Marcus Giese added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Rensselaer.

LAST TIME AT HOME: The Engineers last played home on January 5 when they hosted RIT ... Senior guard Tom Horvat scored 30 points and RPI scored 17 straight points at the start of the second half on its way to an 80-67 win over RIT ... Horvat made 10 of 17 shots while adding three rebounds, an assist and two steals in 30 minutes ... Marcus Giese chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds ... Curtis Nesbit led the Tigers with 14 points ... Charles Okehie had 11 points with four rebounds.

AT HOME: RPI is 3-1 in games played at East Campus Arena ... Three of those contests were non-league affairs (3-0).

WITHIN THREE OF THIRD: Rensselaer senior Tom Horvat has scored 1400 career points, including 226 thus far this season ... He is only three points from tying Sam Simmons '09 for third place in all-time scoring in school history ... Horvat is 12 points behind Alex Dowlin '00 for second all-time ... KONTOPIDIS CLIMBING: Andreas Kontopidis has 1081 career points, which is 18 behind Tom Schneider '06 for 11th all-time ... John Walsh '88 is 10th with 1107.

LAST SEASON: RPI and the Bombers split the season series in 2018-19.

JANUARY 19, 2018: Tom Horvat scored 26 points and Marcus Giese registered a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, but it was not enough to help RPI overcome a 14-point halftime deficit and the Engineers fell at Ithaca, 75-69 ... Riley Thompson scored 24 points and Bryan Karl added 11 for the Bombers.

FEBRUARY 3, 2018:  Tom Horvat scored 28 points on 10 of 16 shooting and the Engineers used an 18-5 second half run to defeat Ithaca, 83-76 ... Andreas Kontopidis scored 15 points with five rebounds and four assists in the victory ... Ithaca's Riley Thompson scored 20 points with 11 rebounds and three assists.
