GAMEDAY (Jan. 22, 2019): The Engineers look to make it two wins in a row when they face Union in a league game ... RPI is 10-5 overall and 5-3 in the league, while the Dutchmen are 7-7 and 3-5.

RESCHEDULED: Rensselaer was supposed to host Union on Saturday but the game was postponed due to weather and travel restrictions.

RPI ON FRIDAY: Senior Tom Horvat scored 28 points and two of his teammates had double-doubles as RPI held off Ithaca, 82-79 ... Horvat also had eight rebounds - all defensive - with a steal ... Marcus Geise had 11 points and 11 rebounds with three assists and two blocked shots ... Andreas Kontopidis also had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds ... The Bombers saw Sebastian Aldrete (25 points) and Riley Thompson (24) combine for 49 points ... Alderete also had eight rebounds.

HONORED: RPI's Tom Horvat was named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll for his performance against Ithaca.

NOW IN SECOND PLACE: Rensselaer senior Tom Horvat has now scored 1428 career points and ranks second in school history, having recently passed Sam Simmons '09 (1403) and Alex Dowlin '00 (1412) ... Tom Ronan '92 is first in program history with 1724 points.

KONTOPIDIS CLIMBING: Andreas Kontopidis has 1091 career points, which is eight behind Tom Schneider '06 for 11th all-time ... John Walsh '88 is 10th with 1107.

UNION ON FRIDAY: Four Dutchmen scored in double figures as Union picked up a 65-60 at Vassar on Friday night ... Senior Kevin McNoble led the Dutchmen with 15 points, six assists and five steals ... Freshman Mike Concannon added 13 points, while sophomore Jackson Mannix chipped in 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

LAST SEASON: RPI and the Dutchmen split the season series in 2018-19 with both teams winning on its home court.

JANUARY 20, 2018: Union went on a 6-0 run to break a tie with under three minutes remaining and the Dutchmen defeated the Engineers, 64-59 ... With the score tied 56-56 with 2:53 to play, the Union made four free throws and a basket to go ahead 62-56 with 32 seconds remaining and held off RPI ... Greg King had 19 points in the victory, including 11 in the second half, while Kevin Weckworth finished with 14 points ... Tom Horvat scored 20 points with seven rebounds, three assists and four steals to lead the Engineers ... Marcus Giese scored 11 with five rebounds.  

FEBRUARY 2, 2018: Andreas Kontopidis and Tom Horvat combined for 42 points and the Rensselaer defense held Union to just 39.3% shooting in a 72-66 victory ... Kontopidis scored 22 points and Horvat had 20 for RPI, which made 53.7% (29 of 54) of its shots ... Kontopidis added three rebounds, an assist, two blocks and a steal, while Horvat had four boards and two assists ... Kevin Weckworth paced Union with 21 points, two rebounds and three assists while playing all 40 minutes. ... Greg King finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.
