ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Freshman Alyssa Juergens had game-highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) women's basketball team to a 68-35 win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in a Liberty League game. 
Juergens, who was successful on 10 of 17 shots from the field, was aided by three teammates who also reached double digits in points. Tara Lynch was among them with 17 points, along with 10 rebounds. Brooke Stanley added 12 points and Cori Okada had 10 points in 34 minutes for the Tigers, who jumped out to a 22-2 lead after the first quarter. 
Junior 
Ines Ortea led the Engineers with 11 points on 5 of 7 shooting and eight rebounds. She also had three steals and a block. 
Taylor Travis added six points, all from the free throw line. As a team, RPI shot only 27.3% (12 of 44) from the field and turned the ball over 26 times, which led to 28 RIT points.
Rensselaer (8-8; 3-6) plays at Skidmore College on Saturday at 2pm. RIT (10-6; 5-4) hosts William Smith College on Saturday at 2pm.
